Our primary purpose is providing 9-1-1 emergency communications services to Hocking County. Our center is equipped with a state-of-the-art Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) system that pin-points the location of a 911 call on a computerized map of the county via GIS mapping. We are the first 911 Center in Ohio to apply for Phase II implementation in the FCC's 94-102 order to the wireless (cellular) industry. In addition, all EST's (Emergency Services Telecommunicators) are fully certified by APCO to include fire and emergency medical dispatch.
