Our primary purpose is providing 9-1-1 emergency communications services to Hocking County.

Our center is equipped with a state-of-the-art Computer-aided Dispatch (CAD) system that pin-points the location of a 911 call on a computerized map of the county via GIS mapping.

We are the first 911 Center in Ohio to apply for Phase II implementation in the FCC's 94-102 order to the wireless (cellular) industry. In addition, all EST's (Emergency Services Telecommunicators) are fully certified by APCO to include fire and emergency medical dispatch.

The Hocking County 911 web site is now your one stop service for all of public safety.
